CLOSE THE AIRPORT

We were playing Werewolf: The Apocalypse, K was GM`ing, I was running Sarah Colley a Black Fury, C was playing his Lumberjack Werebear, R was playing Eoin MacDonaill a Fianna, L was playing his Private Detective Child of Gaia and we were joined by 3 other players.

We were playing through the published adventure "Under a blood red moon", the set up was that there was a war brewing between the Vampires and the Werewolves in a city (I can`t remember which city it was), in preparation the Werewolves were using magic to transport in as many of their people as possible, but the Vampires were having to use more conventional "human" means of transport (Road, Rail and Air Traffic). While other packs of Werewolves were being dispatched to shut down road and rail traffic into the city, our group was ordered to shut down the airport, to stop any Vampires arriving that way.

So we set off to the airport, with no clear plan of what we were going to do, although we had decided that if we wrecked the control tower that would shut down the airport. Arriving there we hung around the airport lobby trying to decide what to do, because we had no clear plan, and our group was kind of large, things started to get out of control.

The players who were just visiting us, started to get restless, and began jousting using potted plants and baggage trolleys. This attracted the attention of the Airport Security guards, which just escalated things, as our group all transformed into our Crinos forms (the combat form of a werewolf). And we all headed our seperate ways, all with the vague notion that we should close down the airport.

At this point I should mention that Eoin MacDonaill was a social drinker (had an addiction disadvantage) who could most definitely handle his drink (had an advantage that meant his stomach could digest any substance). So he headed of to the duty free and started to drink its contents, ALL OF THEM.

Meanwhile a couple of us had started to make our way up to the control tower, using the natural fear that humans have of werewolves to keep our way free, however this led to a small problem when we got to the control tower and the only way for the humans there to flee was out of the windows. A route they took, followed by us trashing all of the equipment in the tower.

By this time Eoin had finished the contents of the Duty Free store, and had decided that he would be helpful, and that no planes could fly without fuel, so he headed out onto the runway and started drinking the contents of a refueling truck.

Elsewhere the rest of us had decided to stop any planes leaving by the simple method of removing their engines, unfortunately this had the side effect of starting a couple of fires.

Things had indeed gotten out of control, but the worst was yet to come, after deciding to help Eoin stop drinking, we found the fuel tanks that supplied the entire airport, and turned on the pumps spilling the fuel across the runways. We finally decided that we wouldn`t survive if we stayed much longer, so started a rapid evacuation of the area, only to witness explosions that leveled the entire airport as we drove clear of the area.

Well we had suceeded in our mission, although not exactly how anyone, even us, had envisioned. So we returned to our clan leaders for our next set of instructions.

The rest of the adventure went pretty much to plan, with only repeated news reports telling us about how the airport was continuing to burn up until about three days after we raided it.
