February/2014 UPDATES

17/February/2014 Posted by HellStormer1

Hello everyone.  Today we bring you Babylon 5 Earth Alliance package part 4.  Today is a bit of a treat for anyone who loves Corellian ships like the YT series.  In B5, there was this space trabsport that kept popping up through the series, and there were several variants to it.  After watching the series again recently, i got the idea that this ship could be Babylon 5's version of a YT series of ships made in different modular configurations as needed.  So I did some hunting for any pics I could find, and here's a few of the ones I've done so far: Earth Alliance Skylark 500, Earth Alliance Skylark 550, Earth Alliance Skylark 600, Earth Alliance Skylark 650, Earth Alliance Skylark 670, Earth Alliance Skylark 700, Earth Alliance Skylark 720, and Earth Alliance Skylark 790 with more to come.  "Skylark" was just a name I found for these transports online, and I figured let it stick as these ships needed a name.  For other competeing transports we have Earth Alliance TA-150 transport and Earth Alliance TA-300 Transport, the bigger capital version to the TA-150 (and a handy variant for anyone who thinks the TA-150 should be larger).  Also introducing the Earth Alliance Kestrel Shuttle, a transatmospheric transport that was about as common as the crew shuttles and Skylarks, even more so in crusade.  The Icarus, the ship that left on its fated journey to kick off the Second Shadow War.  The Skydancer, the heavily modified crew shuttle variant made survey ship and owned by Catherine Sakai.  There's also the Earthforce Troop Transport, a ship that only made an appearance once or twice in the series.  Finding a pic of this one was very hard, as any scenery from footage wasn't very good and this one pic used here was the best i could find online (if anyone can find a better pic, i'd gladly swap it out!).  Last but not least, we have the Earthforce Warlock Destroyer, the mightiest ship ever built by the Earth Alliance for Earthforce use (if you don't include the Excalibur and Victory, which were technically Interstellar Alliance property, also coming up in the future!).  Except for a few more ships, that about wraps it up for Earth Alliance/Earthforce, then we move on to other races and organizations.  Anyone have a favorite they'd like to see first?

Greetings scifi fans!  Today I bring you death, destruction and misery!  Not really, actually I bring you Earth Alliance package Part 3, including Earth Alliance Work Pod, Earthforce One, Earthforce GROPOS Gunship, Earthforce Breaching Pod, Earth Alliance/Earthforce Crew Shuttle, The Dyson (Crew Shuttle Variant), Earth Alliance Asimov Class Liner, Earthforce Aegis Orbital Defense Platform, and finally, finished and ready for the spotlight, both Babylon 5 AND Babylon 4 space stations!  At this point, I'd like to put a call-out to any interested fans for some pics.  If anyone could find pics for babylons 1, 2 and 3, I'd appreciate it.  Also, if anyone finds any odd or rare B5 related pics, I'd love to see them!  Thanks!  (Moments later) forgot to add the Psi Corp Mothership, a little something I found online.

Greetings again!  Today I bring you Earthforce package part 2, including: Earthforce Stealth Starfury, Earthforce Starfury Packrat, Earthforce Starfury Lightning, Earthforce Heavy Starfury, Earthforce Badger Starfury, and last but not least the great big Earthforce Explorer Class Ship.  Some of these are not official but based on pics I found online from random google searches.  Sadly, these pics were found on sites posted by other people who did not make them but were using them to reference something else they were discussing.  I find this to be sad because I'd really like to congratulate the artists online who created those images and give them props where its due.

So I've been watching Babylon 5 again.  It's a show I've loved since it first aired in the 90s.  But when I saw it I was a kid and didn't understand the deeper parts of the plot and character development (I was paying more attention to the cool starships, lol).  Now that i've been watching it again, I'm also being blown away and amazed by it also all over again.  Fantastic series, despite what anyone out there says.  J. Michael Straczinsky knows his stuff.  So, I wanted to take a crack at some ships from the series.  I know we already have some on here, and they are very well done I think.  But sometimes I like to take a crack at something myself, do the homework, see what kind of approach I'd take on things.  And this way we get more variety in what to use.  The different stats could even be variants of that class of ship.  So today I give you Earthforce Olympus Class Corvette, Earthforce Hyperion Class Heavy Cruiser, Earthforce Nova Class Dreadnought, Earthforce Omega Class Destroyer, Starfury Space Fighter and Starfury Thunderbolt Transatmospheric Fighter, all for Babylon 5 Earthforce package part 1.  Enjoy!  *Feb 4* Hopped back on to modify the Omega Destroyer's Fusion Launchers, as well as the Starfury and Starfury thunderbolt, mostly over/under powered balance issues.  *couple days later* Thanks to a call-out from a fan of the site, the Nova Dreadnought is fixed!

Hello everyone.  Just wnated to post something I made recently for a new game a friend was running last weekend.  The Grobyc, a cool technology oriented species, inspired by elements of Halo's AIs (Cortana) and Forerunners, Iron Man Extremis, the Borg, the Quoriens from Mass Effect, and maybe a few others.  Enjoy!  *Later that night*  Hello again.  Had the night off from work, and wanted to add the Grobyc Migration Fleet Type-1 City Ship to the update.  Opinions welcome in the comment section!  *Later still* Added the Gravimetric Drive Propulsion System.  *a few days later*  Hello again.  As I've been coming up with ideas for the Grobyc, did a ship up, the Alpha Class Frigate.  It's just the one ship, so thought I'd slip it into this update.  Enjoy!  *2/2/2014*  Hello again for the however manyeth time.  I hopped back on tonight, modified the Alpha Frigate (removed the heavy missile tubes to make it more like a lighter frigate type) and expanded on the Grobyc description.  To anyone interested in them, I highly recommend looking at the sections for The Force and Technology ;) Feel free to leave feedback and thoughts!
