Marcus Korolus was born over two and a half millennia ago in the mountains of Macedonia.
In 535 BC Korolus was attacked and killed by a vampire; instead of staying dead he
rose the following night.
During the sixth century Marcus
spent some two hundred years living at the Temple of Light in the
Song Shan Mountain in Hunan.
A thousand years or so ago Marcus is the leader of a group of vampires who
attacked a demon sorcerer for an artifact
the Sword of Danzaltha, but some of them ended up cursed, weakened,
nearly insane or dead. The vampire cadre was driven off by the return of their
souls.
During his wanderings thru Europe Marcus was a
member of the El Eliminati a fifteenth century duelist cult, led by the demon
Balthazar.
During this time Korolus was
attacked by a Slayer, a fight he won after staking the slayer. Enraged that the
Slayer had been set on him, he tracked down and wiped out all traces of
the Watchers Council in Romania.
For his affront to the sorcerer,
it hunted him for seven hundred years, and when he found him cast him into a
hell dimension, Quortoth, the darkest of the dark worlds.
He is immortal for twenty-five centuries he has
been a soldier, a drifter and trained others. Constantly facing other demons in
combat to the death. I am a Watcher part of a secret society of men and women
who observe and record these events, in order to battle such evil.
He is Marcus Korolus, one of the last ancient
immortals.
Some six years ago Wyncote’s men shoot and throw
Korolus from his apartment's sixth story window. During this incident Korolus’
fianc?e Stacey is brutally assaulted and killed by the gang.
Korolus returns to track down his fianc?e's
killers, killing them one by one the trail leads back to the demonic Wyncote.
Korolus battles and finally defeats Wyncote by beheading him, but not before
Wyncote trapped him between dimensions.
Recently he was finally able to
pass through the dimensional gates and return to Sunnydale, California. When the
gates opened and the dimensions started to bleed into one another, he was able
to return to the library in the old Sunnydale High School on Tuesday the 22nd
May 2001 by tapping the power of the Hellmouth.

Roleplaying Korolus the Cursed Vampire
Marcus
is a dark and secretive figure. He is not slow to step up should the need to
fight arise. He is still recovering from his time in the demon dimension, and
has not yet gained back his natural confidence and strength.
