DESCRIPTION:
The Nebulon-C escort frigate was a type of frigate used by the New Republic and later by the Resistance during the First Order–Resistance war. The Nebulon-C was a class of frigates built by Kuat Drive Yards. At least one was modified to be a medical frigate by the Resistance. The frigates were originally built for the New Republic. They were in use as of 34 ABY. The Resistance used the vessel Anodyne as a medical frigate. It was destroyed when it ran out of fuel and fell into range of the pursuing Supremacy.
GAME DESIGN NOTES:
In short, the Nebulon-C is just an updated variant of the Nebulon-B. 550m long to the B's 300, the Nebulon-C has improved Hull, Shields, slightly better Sensors, and an improved weapons arsenal, this is the result of the Rebel Alliance taking what they learned during the war against the Galactic Empire, an using the resources as the New Republic to make a new Nebulon style model of ship, with improvements in the design, but overall still intended to be used as an escort vessel and multi-role workhorse for the New Repunlic navy. Or, at least that's what the Nebulon-C would have probably been until the New Republic began disarming their military.
This write-up was made to help figure out the stats for the Anodyne, a Nebulon-C frigate salvaged by the Resistance from decommissioning, repaired as best they could by an allied shipyard, modified to serve the role of a medical frigate much like the Redemption before it during the Galactic Civil War, and pressed into service.
Can't help but notice that the Nebulon-C has several struts extending from the hull on the starboard right side of the hull. If GMs/players agree, these struts could be emergency docking structures, able to attach and dock alongside other ships. These structures could be where the tractor beams are placed and used for this purpose. These docking struts could also house equipment for breaching hulls, either for emergencies to save the crew of other ships, or for breaching actions to forcefully board suspicious starships during inspections and when encountering resistance. These borading struts would be especially useful for the Anodyne, a Nebulon-C modified as a medical frigate, where these boarding structures would allow for quickly moving patients from one ship to the other to reveive immediate medical care.
