Description: Although the B-Wing fighter was extremely successful, Slayn and Korpil were unhappy at it continually being overshadowed by the Incom X-Wing Fighter, so set about adapting their design into a more powerful version of that vessel. The X-Zero is an adapted B-Wing design, built into the famous X winged configuration of the T-65 X-Wing, allowing the vessel to have better fire coverage, and because of the four engines, also to have better speed, both sublight and hyperspace, and manueverability. The vessel is very responsive to controls, and the lack of need for an AstroMech has made it popular with those who dislike being reliant on those sometimes free-willed droids. The weapons are very powerful, and the four engines are needed for the extra drain that these weapons cause, especially the Laser Cannons whose effectiveness is not greatly improved from the original design. There have been a few complaints about the design, its high cost, its massive size, and its need for specialised parts which have once again set this vessl behind its competitors, however pilots who have used this Starfighter love it, and stick with the powerful and rugged design for as long as they can.
