Endorian Cannok Bolognese

A Recipe for: Cannok

Ingredients:

  • 500g Endorian Cannok meat, minced (if unavailable substitute ground beef)
  • 2 Zeltron onions, finely chopped (if unavailable substitute onions)
  • 2 Rodian carrots, finely diced (if unavailable substitute carrots)
  • 2 stalks Alderaanian celery, finely chopped (if unavailable substitute celery)
  • 3 cloves Endorian garlic, minced (if unavailable substitute garlic)
  • 200g Kashyyyk mushrooms, finely chopped (if unavailable substitute mushrooms)
  • 1 cup Corellian red wine (if unavailable substitute red wine)
  • 2 cups Mandalorian tomato passata (if unavailable substitute tomato passata)
  • 2 tablespoons Tatooine tomato paste (if unavailable substitute tomato paste)
  • 2 tablespoons Coruscant olive oil (if unavailable substitute olive oil)
  • 1 teaspoon Mustafar dried oregano (if unavailable substitute dried oregano)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Naboo dried basil (if unavailable substitute dried basil)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Tatooine ground nutmeg (if unavailable substitute ground nutmeg)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kashyyyk salt (if unavailable substitute salt)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mandalorian black pepper (if unavailable substitute black pepper)
  • Cooked Coruscant spaghetti or Tatooine tagliatelle, for serving (if unavailable substitute spaghetti or tagliatelle)
  • Tatooine grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish (if unavailable substitute Parmesan cheese)
  • Corellian parsley, chopped, for garnish (if unavailable substitute parsley)

Instructions:

  1. Heat the Coruscant olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced Endorian Cannok meat to the skillet and cook until it's browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the finely chopped Zeltron onions, diced Rodian carrots, chopped Alderaanian celery, and minced Endorian garlic to the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened.
  4. Stir in the finely chopped Kashyyyk mushrooms and cook for another 3-4 minutes until they release their moisture and start to brown.
  5. Pour in the Corellian red wine and allow it to simmer for a few minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Add the Mandalorian tomato passata and Tatooine tomato paste to the skillet, stirring to combine with the meat and vegetables.
  7. Sprinkle the dried oregano, dried basil, ground nutmeg, Kashyyyk salt, and
  8. Mandalorian black pepper over the mixture. Stir well to incorporate the spices.
  9. Reduce the heat to low and let the bolognese sauce simmer gently, uncovered, for about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and the flavors meld together.
  10. While the sauce is simmering, cook the Coruscant spaghetti or Tatooine tagliatelle according to the package instructions until al dente.
  11. Once the sauce has reached the desired consistency, remove it from the heat.
  12. Serve the Endorian Cannok Bolognese hot over the cooked spaghetti or tagliatelle.
  13. Garnish with Tatooine grated Parmesan cheese and chopped Corellian parsley.
