Description: Firefly Class transports have appeared since the fall of the Emperor at the Battle of Endor. With many backwater worlds joining the New Republic, it was inevitable that a number of new designs of vessels would appear on the market, many of these were relatively crude in comparison to the vessels which the larger core worlds manufacturers could produce, but the cost of these slightly more basic vessels was far lower as well. The Firefly Class is one of these, a large vessel which is the equivalent of a bulk transport, the Firefly Class is very manueverable for a ship its size, as well as fairly fast and rugged. The design has facilities aboard which equal many larger vessels, including a full sickbay, and recreation area, however the hyperdrive is prone to malfunctions, and occupies a far larger amount of the ship than other designs would, but replacement would require huge modifications to the whole design of the vessel. Fortunately the design comes with a reliable but slow backup hyperdrive, and upgrades of the sublight engines and shields, boosts this vessel to near combat vessel effectiveness.

i believe great liberties were taken with this write up. according to the serenity role playing game handbook, the dimensions are "191 x 128 x 53 feet."
cargo capacity stated as "Cargo Capacity/Maximum Deck Load:
400/460 tons in hold #1; 100/220 tons in hold #2."
fuel capacity (consumables) "Fuel Capacity: 60 tons (600 hours)."
price "Price: ₡ 48,960."

firefly ship didnt have shields, hyperdrives, and as i recall the ship didnt generate enough power to classify as a capital ship...

HellStormer1: "True, the stats here are not exact. I've contemplated doing a more traditional variant from time to time. But, lots of people who make stats and send them in (or were adopted from other sites with permission or after going under), do so with limited information at the time (the entry could in fact be years old, and information on Serenity material had always been slow in forthcoming), or are simply trying to make a version that fits the Star Wars setting. This entry may be off, but the person who wrote it up might see otherwise. Too bad they're not here to comment.
"Anyone care to make another variant?"

actually i did do a variant. i posted it on the D6 holocron site posted under the crossovers section, which i do believe you guys here at RPGGamer.org are the main provider of material for that section.

At the time I made this, Serenity wasn't out, so the Serenity RPG hadn't been published. Also in my defence, I'd never actually watched the show at that time just seen the pre-titles section of the first broadcast episode (The Train Job), just made it on the spur of the moment the day the show was cancelled.

Trying to remember how I was thinking, gave it hyperdrive as without it's pretty useless in the Star Wars universe (also from the pre-titles section I'd seen it wasn't clear that the series was set within only one star system), got the sizing wrong, as it looked pretty big (therefore cargo/scale were also wrong).

If it was realistic to the Star Wars rules, then a space speed of 1 or 2 is more in line as well.
