Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures: Season 3: Story 4: The Night Lights of Tenoo

What is it ? : The Young Jedi are riding their Dunnels along with Celesta Kami, they are heading out into the forest to a spot where they will be able to see the Night Lights of Tenoo, a kind of borealis lights seen every year. Celesta is taking lots of pictures with her holo camera, and Lys is concerned she's not living in the moment instead distracted by the device.
They arrive at a camp site, but after they set up, a group of Blue Meeka, a small monkey / squirrel creature attracted by shiny objects. They grab Celesta's Holo Camera, but she offers them a shiny rock to get the camera back, before ordering the group to change camp sites to avoid the creatures.
They move camp with Kai and Nubs doing most of the work, and once again the Blue Meeka plague them, forcing them to move once again.
In this camp, a Blue Meeka grabs the Holo Camera, and Celesta sets off to find it, even though Lys warns that the Night Lights are about to begin and they'll miss them.
They track down the Camera, but end up in ravine, and Celesta sees that the Night Lights are beginning, but finds a way of getting the Blue Meeka to help them, by throwing them a shiny grapple hook, which they secure and allow the group to climb out of the ravine. Worried they'll miss the Night Lights, Celesta instead climbs a tree so they can see the lights from the top, but Celesta drops her Holo Camera. But they enjoy seeing the lights from the tree tops together and not being distracted by taking pictures.
Later back at the camp, they're watching the lights, and a Blue Meeka returns Celesta's camera, and she takes a picture of the group as Kai and Nubs sleep surrounded by Blue Meeka exhausted from moving camp so many times. . . .

High Points : A fun little episode, with no fighting or real challenges except some creatures interested in stealing shiny things. While Nubs and Kai are present throughout, this is a Lys and Celesta story, with the boys only being present really so they can be laughed at for being tired for doing all the physical work.

Low Points : I could ask why the boys are doing all the physical work, and the girls get away with it, but I'm concentrating more on that the adult character is the one who needs guidance from the kids once again. And what happened to the droids?

Oh, and when they're trapped in the ravine and can't climb out, why don't they use their lightsabers just as they did the last time they were stuck in a ravine?

So what do you really think ? : The episode is enjoyable enough, some naughty animals causing trouble, and a distracted adult needing shown the error of their ways by the wise kids. There's nothing much here, but what there is, is fun enough to pass the few minutes of it's run time.

Final Words : And the moral of this episode, don't be so distracted by devices, that you miss the wonders going on around you.

Score : 7.5/10
