What is it ? : Returning to Koboh, Cal discovers the High Republic Droid he rescued, ZN-A4, Zee, has been kidnapped by the Bedlam Raiders. They have taken the droid to their base within the Core Ship of a Lucrehulk ship which is sitting ruined within a swamp on Koboh.
Cal sets off, making the journey to the Swamp, avoiding sections which cause him to sink, and gains access to the vessel. He has to fight his way up through it, avoiding turrets as well as Bedlam Raiders, and left over Confederacy droids the Raiders have repaired and use. He discovers they wanted information from Zed, but are now going to reprogram the droid into serving Dagan Gera. Cal also overhears sections revealing the history between the Gendai leader of the Bedlam Raiders and Dagan Gera, where Dagan bested Rayvis in combat, winning his obedience, which has lasted the 200 years that Dagan was in stasis.
Rescuing Zed, Cal fights Dagan once more, and Dagan distracts Cal with a crate that Cal must hold with the force, allowing Dagan to escape once more.
High Points : The interior of a Lucrehulk is familiar territory and battling Battledroids, Super Battledroids, Droid Commando's, Magnaguards and Droideka's make this level feel very Star Wars. And the level does continue using Cal's new Force Field teleporting ability, and merges this with his cable swinging and wall running powers, feeling like an extension of Fallen Order, taking us into new territory.
Low Points : But it's getting a little hard to juggle all the abilities now, with several keys required to use them all, so while still loads of fun, it's beginning to feel a little complex to remember what you're doing while Cal is in mid air and you have to press something or he plummets to his death. I found myself making mistakes several times, trying to teleport instead of grabbing a cable or the like.
The familiar territory, also while well used, it the same as we've seen before. Even back in Fallen Order we revisited wrecks of Republic Vessels, or a Confederacy ship just feels the same old same old.
So what do you really think ? : It's a solid and fun level, and the sections where Cal hides and hears bits of conversations really tells the story in an excellent fashion, allowing both Cal and the Player to discover why this gang of raiders is helping a Jedi who has been frozen in stasis for 200 years, where it just seemed a bit weird before this.
Final Words : Probably as fun a level to play as the previous, but it just feels derivate and repetitive so loses a half mark from that one.
Also why can Cal just steal Bode's jetpack, it's kind of annoying for Cal to have to scale, teleport, wallrun, dangle from cables and hang from ceilings to get to a new area, and then Bode just arrives on his Jetpack. While having a companion along should be fun, it's annoying that you've got to do everything the difficult way, just for them to arrive, especially while there's dialogue in the game where they comment on Cal being bad at this.
