Description: Tulakt was a female alien fortune teller who was a visitor of Pyloon's Saloon on the planet Koboh during the Imperial Era.

Biography
Prior to 9 BBY, Tulakt's home planet was attacked by the Galactic Empire. She led her family to a provisioned underground bunker, thinking that they would be safe. Unfortunately, the Empire bombarded her shelter and she lost two brothers from it. Despite the tragedy, she didn't blame herself for leading her siblings there as she believed it was the correct decision at the time, and that is how she chose to live.

She used to perform in a medicine show where she would dress in garish outfits and read fortunes, whilst others in her company would scam the audience. The experiences stayed with her as when she later arrived on Koboh, she noticed a charlatan trying to swindle someone with Fool's priorite in Rambler's Reach Outpost. Tulakt noticed he wore long sleeves in the heat and prevented the sale, much to the gratitude of unofficial local mayor Doma Dendra.

After arriving on Koboh, she did not see herself as a prospector, instead believing that she excavated that which could not be so easily grasped. She did partake in mining priorite on one occasion when she was invited by prospectors to join an expedition. After they had descended into the mines, the prospectors abandoned her. Tulakt calmly walked alone through the darkness whilst trusting her intuition and eventually found another exit. She found out afterwards that the prospectors that left her had died following a Gorocco attack. Tulakt knew that had she followed, she would have died too, and believed the lesson to be taken from it was to always go your own way. She admitted to finding the ordeal enlightening.

She was a regular patron of Pyloon's Saloon, and in 9 BBY, commented to Jedi Knight Cal Kestis that the cantina reminded her of a celebratory dance from her home planet. Whilst her people didn't dance, the dance was her people all together. She told the Jedi that without everyone's combined essence, there was nothing. She provided the examples of someone ordering a drink from Monk, a joke from Gulu, and a hunting tale from Mosey Cimmaron as acts that, when combined, form something greater than the performers themselves, though she knew everyone at the Outpost helped form its unique energy. She thought of Doma as the boulder and was certain that the Outpost would fall apart without her presence.

Despite her fondness for Koboh, she would get homesick from time to time. She missed the rivers of her home planet where the native vlotti trout leapt over the current, as well as the food, specifically handmade dumplings stuffed with protato and cushnip and the taste of banzon.

Following the liberation of the Outpost from the Bedlam Raiders, Tulakt decided to leave Koboh. Before departing, she provided Kestis with his fortune. Though the Jedi did not fully comprehend the meaning behind her words, Tulakt infomed him it was because he had finally learned the lessons she had given. She bid farewell to Kestis, telling him that he would find his path with patience.

Personality and traits
Tulakt was a diminutive alien female individual with green leathery skin and green eyes. She held a mysterious aura as she preferred to not engage in long conversations, instead extolling wisdom through her fortune telling abilities. She did not see herself as a fortune teller, though prospectors would routinely ask her to tell them their fortunes. Tulakt knew they did so in the hope of locating priorite. She believed her gift simply to be that she observed the world around her, and the voices within her mind spoke. She subsequently left it up to others to interpret her words as they saw fit.

When she conversed with Cal Kestis, she consistently referred to him as sojourner, despite Kestis saying he preferred to be called Cal. Before departing Koboh, she finally relented and address the Jedi by his full name. She also did not charge Kestis for her words as she believed a conversation between friends was priceless, even if every fortune had a price. Certain patrons, notably Gulu and Gido, could not comprehend their fortunes and dismissed Tulakt's abilities.

Tulakt believed the Galactic Empire was afraid of what it could not control, stating that culture is the shield of species and planets but to the Empire it was a threat. She believed that each tradition that became extinct due to the Empire would prove to be their downfall, and said that an intelligent Empire would co-opt the cultures it conquered and wield them against its enemies. She thought the regime to be rigid and obstinate, and that when the right threat arrived, it would be unable to adapt to it. Tulakt said these thoughts did not evolve from hope, instead stating her beliefs were a known fact and the only question is when they would come to fruition.
