Description: The N5 sentry droid, also known as the New Republic Security Droid, was a model of security droid manufactured by SoroSuub Corporation that existed in the Imperial Era and the later New Republic Era, where it would be used by the New Republic Correctional Corps.

Description
The N5 sentry droid had a humanoid appearance with gray plating along with a singular yellow optical slot in its head module with a boxy main body. It's outer material appears to be made of a relatively weak metal as a vibroblade is easily able to cut and penetrate it. It had a pelvic servomotor and gyro-balanced femoral struts and tarsal-pivot at it's feet for greater stability. It was 1.95 meters (6 ft, 5 in) tall.

History
The N5 sentry droid was manufactured by SoroSuub Corporation. After the extensive use of battle droids by the Separatist Droid Army during the Clone Wars, the development of combat droids was frozen during the Imperial Era and any security droid models manufactured later required extensive bureaucratic oversight to prevent new droid armies.

One N5 who managed to think for themself joined the ranks of the Second Revelation and was present for the droid revolutionary Ajax Sigma's return, where the former warrior decreed that they should stay at the colony as a new home. There, Ajax formed the group into a droid church.

The New Republic later allowed limited development of such droids to staff it's underpopulated security services and New Republic Correctional Corps. As such N5 droids were used on penitentiary outposts such as on Delrian, Wobani, Karthon, Sunspot and Valfin and aboard New Republic Correctional Transports. When boarding a prison transport, the Bothan-5, to rescue the prisoner Qin, a team of mercenaries recruited by Ranzar Malk encountered a number of the security droids. The droids were destroyed by the bounty hunter known as the Mandalorian. The team later betrayed the Mandalorian, trapping him in a cell, but the bounty hunter pulled a security droid towards him with a grappling hook and tore off its arm, destroyed its head, which was a weak spot, and used the arm to unlock the door. Mayfield also shot three droids while fleeing before he was defeated by the Mandalorian. These droids were also used in the Karthon Chop Fields. One of them gave new instructions to Migs Mayfeld to follow Carasynthia Dune.

Several N5 droids were part of the Droid Gotra, serving a security for the Hutt Twins on Nal Hutta. Several of the sentry droids had an N5 droid head and a different droid body. The N5 droids were all destroyed when the Hutt Palace was destroyed by the Adelphi Rangers lead by Colonel Ward.
