Name: Tharnaka was a planet that housed the artefact Tharnakan Story Stone. It was the native planet of the Tharnakan species.
The Tharnakan species lived in cave systems, making their homes within existing caves and extending them for more urban areas. These areas often had openings to allow sunlight in and create comfortable airy habitations, rather than being deep and constricted tunnels.
Before the High Republic Era the surface of the world was flooded with the Tharnakan people being forced to flee the world as their towns and villages were flooded and rendered uninhabitable. This happened so quickly they were forced to leave many cultural items behind, making it a target for both legitimate archaeologists and nefarious tomb robbers.
